Ahi Tuna Steaks

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 Ahi Tuna Steaks - 1" thick
  • 1/4 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated Ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice

Notes: No Salt and Pepper - Marinate 2 + hours - remove from marinade - coat in Sesame Seeds - spray grill with high heat Pam - heat grill on high to 400 to 450 - cook Tuna 2 minutes per side for medium rare

 

Directions:

  • In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, lime zest and lime juice - mix well
  • Place the Ahi Tuna steaks in a glass container.  Pour the marinade over the steaks.  Gently flip to coat.  Allow marinade in the refridgerator for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Once the Tune steaks are done, pour the remaining marinade into a small sauce pan and cook until reduced slightly and thickened.  This will take about 5 minutes
  • Carefully slice the tune steaks across the grain.
  • When the sauce is finished, place mixed greens on the plate, drizzle the sauce all over the plate and place the sliced Ahi Tuna steaks next to the greens overlapping slightly.
